      <image:title>Home - Intake</image:title>
<image:caption>Getting established I am currently treating adults located in Virginia and Texas via a HIPAA-compliant telehealth platform. Whether you are interested in individual or group sessions—this will be the first appointment you make. During this time we will talk about the specific considerations for telehealth therapy. At this initial session I will collect your history, presenting concerns, and goals for treatment. We will decide what interventions best suit your needs. We will make a plan for what therapy will look like moving forward and finalize important paperwork.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Home - Intensive Sessions</image:title>
<image:caption>Getting it done With my history in intensive outpatient programs, partial hospitalization programs, and groups work, I know the bootcamp approach works! Do you want to invest as much as you can right now for the fastest results? We can do that with intensives. This is based on your interest or need, and scheduled around your schedule (outside my listed business hours)! Please click the learn more button for specific modalities and therapies that might interest you. An eclectic or structured curriculum approach will be designed specifically for your needs following an intake appointment. This is an option that can supplement individual work or stand alone an alternative treatment choice.</image:caption>

As you share and process your struggles, I will weave in therapeutic interventions to our dialogue, chosen specifically for you and your circumstance. The result? You will learn how to attach meaning to your past, appreciate your present, and embrace to your future.</image:caption>

      <image:title>About Me - Who am I?</image:title>
<image:caption>I am here to help. Trained as a social worker, I have a deep commitment to the core values of social work: service, social justice, dignity and worth of the person, importance of human relationships, integrity, and competence. These principles are all integrated into my work with my clients, as well as how I live my personal life. Born and raised in upstate NY, I received my BA in Psychology at Providence College in Rhode Island. I also studied language, art, and music in Florence, Italy. Largely due to this experience, I chose to move halfway across the world after graduation. I landed in Seoul, South Korea, where I taught ESL to children. There I also met my husband. We returned to the states and I went to graduate school at the University of Texas in Austin where I obtained my MSSW and completed my post-graduate training. I gained extensive experience in mental health crisis stabilization and recovery as a staff therapist at psychiatric hospitals, and developed outpatient hospital-based programming as a clinical director. I’ve also served as an embedded behavioral health provider at a community-based pediatric clinic, where I honed my ability to incorporate laughter and play into my work with clients. In 2020, I made the move to work for myself in private practice and I have not looked back! It has allowed me to maintain my license to treat clients in Texas while moving closer to family up north after the birth of our son. We love everything Richmond has to offer so far and feel very lucky to have landed here. As a LCSW, I have been lucky to work as a psychotherapist in a variety of mental health settings. Along the way, I have been regularly inspired by the resilience I have witnessed. It has taught me that all people have the potential to flourish once they learn to access their own well of resources within. The tricky part is that unlocking this wisdom often means going through instead of around. It means leaning in and making room for the discomfort. Obviously, this is a process that is not easy to do. Our outdated ego defenses rebel against it (read: denial, rationalization, etc). Here’s the good news: It is this messy, beautiful, immense process that calls me to service! I am here to offer my support and guidance in wading through it all. It would be my honor to get to do this with you, because the best part of being human is that we don’t have to do things like this alone.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Services - Short-term CPT Protocol</image:title>
<image:caption>Results in just six weeks This is for the person who feels stuck in or haunted by the past. I use CPT (Cognitive Processing Therapy) which utilizes Socratic questioning to address how trauma changes the way you think about yourself and the world. It is an evidenced-based protocol that has been proven to resolve a PTSD diagnosis in 7 out of 10 cases. The goal is to help you accept the reality of the event, to allow you to feel your emotions around it, and to teach you to develop more balanced and realistic beliefs about the event, yourself, and others. And ultimately, you’ll get to decide how to rewrite your story.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Services - Curriculums</image:title>
<image:caption>Tangible tools to take with you Looking for a formula? Psychoeducational training can be very grounding for some people. I offer guidance through a variety of evidence-based curriculums in the following subject areas: assertiveness training, executive functioning mastery, distress tolerance building, meditative practice, and explorative inner child healing. You might come into therapy knowing you’d like to tackle one of these topics or it might be something we mutually decide to incorporate along the way.</image:caption>

      <image:title>Services - Talk Therapy</image:title>
<image:caption>Breaking the bell jar I largely operate from an ACT (acceptance and commitment therapy) approach. This means the underlying tone of our sessions will be to promote development and eventually mastery in all 6 ACT-based skill sets necessary for psychological flexibility. You will provide the context, based on your struggles and issues, and then the applicable exercises and metaphors will be introduced to “retrain” your brain. This will free you from having to play tug of war with yourself; empowering you to make the meaningful changes you’ve been struggling to make for years.</image:caption>
